East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Road Safety Team encourage all cyclists to wear a cycle helmet, whether you are cycling on the road or off the road. Evidence suggests that a correctly fitted helmet will reduce your risk of sustaining a head injury in certain circumstances and according to The Highway Code you should always wear a cycle helmet that conforms to current regulations, is securely fastened and correctly fitted.
