Balance Bike Course

Bikeability Balance prepares pupils in Reception and Year 1 for participation in Bikeability Level 1 by using
games to develop their cycle handling and awareness skills. Riders should be ready to progress to pedal cycle
training at the end of this course.

There are 2-4 sessions of 30-60 mins in length.

Bikes and helmets are provided by our team.

Scooter Training

This outdoor activity will promote control of the scooter and enhance skills. At the same time, children will learn the importance of not straying too far from an adult and about basic courtesy when sharing a pavement with other pedestrians.

This session consists of a classroom input of approximately 15 minutes followed by an outdoor session lasting about 20 minutes.

Pedestrian Training

This training includes an interactive workshop in a classroom for around 30 to 40 minutes. This will teach the children the basics of how to cross the road safely.

Following this will be live road training, when small groups of children are taken out locally and taught the safest way to cross on roads, including at junctions and between parked cars.
