The Road Safety Team has recently purchased a Tracker 20″ Tricycle to support Bikeability training.
This tricycle is designed primarily for children with special needs or disabilities who require enhanced stability and support when cycling.
It can be fitted with various postural supports, saddle options, and a rear steering system or control pole, allowing parents or carers to provide additional guidance. These features make it suitable for riders who may:
- Have reduced leg muscle strength, such as those with cerebral palsy
- Lack the cognitive understanding of when to brake or how to steer independently
